1 Definition of aseptic paper food packaging

Aseptic paper food packaging is a paper food packaging system based on food special cardboard, which is composed of polyethylene, paper and aluminum foil. It is a high-tech food preservation method. It refers to a packaging technology that packed liquid food is sterilized for a short time before packaging, and then filled and sealed in a sterile environment under sterile conditions, i.e. under the condition that packages, packages and packaging aids are all sterile.

2. Characteristics of aseptic paper food packaging

There are four main raw materials for aseptic paper food packaging: cardboard, polyethylene, aluminum foil and ink. Paperboard does not directly contact the contents of packaging, but it is an important component of packaging, accounting for about 75% of the total packaging weight. The main function is to strengthen the stiffness and hardness of packaging. Food grade polyethylene in aseptic packaging accounts for about 20% of the total packaging weight. Its main function is to prevent liquid leakage and microbial invasion. The weight of aluminium foil in the aseptic packaging of aluminium foil only accounts for about 5% of the whole packaging. Its main function is to avoid light and block air permeability, keep the contents from being oxidized, reduce nutritional loss and keep the taste fresh. Ink ink in aseptic packaging weighs very little, but it is very important for health and safety. At present, the printing ink for dairy and beverage packaging on the market is mainly solvent ink and water ink.

3 Main application fields of aseptic paper food packaging

Sterile paper food packaging is widely used in the processing of liquid dairy products, vegetable protein drinks, fruit juice drinks, alcoholic products and drinking water. Sterile packaging materials can include milk, fruit juice and beverages, alcoholic drinks, water, tomato products, soups, sweets, nutritious foods and other products.

4. Development of aseptic paper food packaging

Aseptic paper food packaging materials not only have a good development space in the dairy industry, but also have a considerable development in other industries. The technology and equipment of a large number of key enterprises in China's beverage industry have approached or reached the international advanced level. In the future, the beverage industry will need a lot of packaging equipment, especially the filling equipment of non-gassy beverages such as tea and fruit juice.

Aseptic pillow packaging material has a good development trend in our country because of its distinct advantages. There are two main reasons. First, milk production in China is mainly in the north, while milk consumption in the south is larger than that in the north. Milk packaging at room temperature is particularly urgent. Secondly, with the improvement of national living standards, the demand for fruit juice and tea drinks is increasing year by year. Therefore, the demand for sterile packaged food is increasing.
